Expanding Suzuki Communities: the joy of Suzuki events and the practicalities of organizing them

Attending workshops and institutes are a highlight of the year for many of our students and their families. Behind the scenes, organizing these events can feel like an overwhelming task. In this session we will talk shop, explore ideas, and get to the nitty gritty of event planning with time for questions at the end.

Breaking the Ice, Finding Your Voice, and Using Your Voice!

Description
This session will explore creativity in music through improvisation using instruments via Zoom. Attendees can improvise in the privacy of their own home (on mute), while we explore Sera and Alice Kanack’s books, including Playing from the Heart, Fun Improvisation, Basslines and Fantasies, and Improvising String Quartets. Learn improvisation games and strategies to help students uncover their unique musical voices.
