Planting the Seed Session #4

with Antonia Pigot, MTA

Session Description:

Music students can experience anxiety when faced with the task of performing in front of others. This seminar will offer practical suggestions for students, parents and teachers on how to best approach the stress of performing. In addition to adequate preparation involving muscle, aural, visual and emotional memory, a music therapy approach addresses breath and body awareness as well as positive thinking and imagery which can lead to a successful experience on stage. Antonia Pigot is both a music therapist and singing teacher and brings her experience as a performer, coach and therapist to this session on performance wellness for young music students.
